Released Carlisle United player Tyler Burey has joined a new club - in Bosnia.

The 24-year-old has linked up with FK Igman Konjic in the Bosnian top-flight.

The move comes weeks after United decided not to extend Burey's short-term deal at Brunton Park after it expired last month.

The wide man's arrival was welcomed by his new club, who announced: "Tyler Burey - new player for FK Igman!

"This 23-year-old striker joins our ranks from Carlisle United FC.

"He started his career at [AFC] Wimbledon, and in his career so far he has worn the jerseys of Millwall, Hartlepool, Oxford United and Odense BK.

"Tyler, welcome!"

Burey's overseas move follows a three-month spell at Carlisle, where he was Mike Williamson's first signing for the Blues.

He joined United as a free agent after leaving Danish club Odense.

He went on to make 11 appearances for the Blues, mostly at right wing-back, after making his debut in the 1-1 against Harrogate Town on October 19.

Former head coach Williamson decided against offering Burey a new deal amid a January overhaul of the squad.

He is the latest player to find a new club after moving on from Brunton Park, left-back Jack Robinson having joined Hartlepool United this week.

Burey has already trained with his new team-mates ahead of Igman's top-flight home clash with Bosnian Premier League leaders HŠK Zrinjski Mostar.

Igman sit tenth in the 12-team division. They play in the 5,000-capacity Konjic City Stadium.
