Axel Disasi’s deadline day saga is set to end with the Chelsea defender joining Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.
Villa are set to pay a loan fee of around £5million for the Frenchman after beating off competition from Tottenham.

Spurs were exploring a deal over the weekend but appeared to cool their interest on the morning of deadline day, only to briefly revive it late on.
Disasi had always been keen to join Villa, whose busy January continues as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his squad for another Champions League push.
Former Monaco centre-back Disasi has made 17 appearances for the Blues, but the majority of those have come as part of rotated teams in the cup competitions.
The 26-year-old has started only four Premier League games and been overlooked by Enzo Maresca in recent weeks despite a number of injuries in defence, with the recalled Trevor Chalobah preferred.
Disasi is set to join a deadline day exodus from Stamford Bridge, with Carney Chukwuemeka, Joao Felix and Ben Chilwell all also heading out on loan.
