Rovers have confirmed the loan signings of Emmanuel Dennis and Cauley Woodrow from Nottingham Forest and Luton respectively in the final stages of deadline day.
The duo bolster John Eustace’s attacking options, with Yuki Ohashi facing another three to four weeks out injured.
Dennis has not featured this season for Forest after he was left out of their 25-man Premier League squad.
A number of clubs had been linked with the 27-year-old – including Watford and Sheffield Wednesday – but Rovers have managed to get the deal done.
Dennis arrived in English football in 2021, heading to Watford following spells in Ukraine and Belgium.
He managed 10 goals and six assists in 33 Premier League appearances during the 2021/22 campaign as the Hornets were relegated.
The striker returned to the top flight with Forest but struggled to nail down a place in the side, making six starts in the league and scoring twice.
Dennis had a couple of loans last season, first at Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir before returning to Vicarage Road.
Meanwhile, Woodrow was left out of the Luton squad at Sheffield Wednesday over the weekend amid speculation over his future.
The 30-year-old started out at Kenilworth Road before heading to Fulham, where he made his senior debut and had loan spells at Southend, Burton, Bristol City and Barnsley.
He joined the latter on a permanent basis in 2019 and spent the next three years at Oakwell, ending up with a record of 53 goals in 157 games for the club.
Woodrow returned to Luton in the summer of 2022 but has only made 15 starts, scoring six goals.
The pair become Rovers’ fifth and sixth signings of the window after Dion Sanderson, Adam Forshaw, Augustus Kargbo and Yuri Ribeiro – the latter joining from Braga on a permanent deal until the end of the season earlier today.
