Rovers midfielder Jake Garrett has joined League Two side Tranmere Rovers on loan for the remainder of the season.
Garrett spent the first half of the campaign at Bristol Rovers, making 11 appearances for the League One club.
The 21-year-old returned to Ewood Park earlier this month and now heads to Prenton Park to play under Nigel Adkins.
“I am really excited to be here,” he told the club site. “I spoke with the gaffer, I have been on the pitch today to work with the lads and get to know them, so I am just excited to get playing now.
“I know it’s a good club, good fanbase. I am a local lad and have got a point to prove so every time I do play, I am going to be giving 100 per cent and working my hardest for the team.”
Tranmere currently find themselves 22nd in the table with a five-point cushion above the relegation zone.
“I’m delighted we have been able to sign the talented midfielder Jake Garrett who has had Championship experience with his club Blackburn Rovers,” Adkins added.
The Merseyside outfit, who are without victory in their last four league games, host Colchester on Saturday afternoon.
