Alejandro Garnacho could come into the side as Manchester United host Ipswich on Wednesday night.

United are in desperate need of a positive result, with a late comeback to snatch a point against Everton over the weekend doing little to lift the mood.

Ruben Amorim’s side have won two of their last ten Premier League matches and sit 15th in the table, with little sign that their form is about to improve.

Garnacho was on the bench at Goodison Park on Saturday, as both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund started, but one of them could drop out of the lineup against Ipswich if Amorm does bring the winger in.

Teenager Chido Obi-Martin also got minutes off the bench against Everton, but Amorim is unlikely to hand the 17-year-old a first start for the club.

Kobbie Mainoo is facing a spell on the sidelines and both Mason Mount and Toby Collyer are still out, leaving Amorim short of options in midfield.

Casemiro has not impressed in two recent performances, so Christian Eriksen could get the chance to partner Manuel Ugarte in midfield.

With Lisandro Martinez out injured, Amorim has favoured a back three of Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt, but Leny Yoro is an option to start if the United boss opts to make changes.

Amad Diallo is expected to miss the rest of the season, while Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans are among the other long-term absentees.

Predicted Man United XI: Onana; Yoro, Maguire, De Ligt; Dalot, Ugarte, Eriksen, Dorgu; Garnacho, Fernandes; Zirkzee

Injured: Bayindir, Martinez, Evans, Shaw, Amad, Mainoo, Mount, Collyer

Time and date: 7:30pm GMT on Wednesday, February 26

Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester
