6 Burn: Like Schar, was at ease in the first half - caused a scare in the second when he almost lost possession but made a key covering tackle

8 HALL: Brilliant in the first half when he created Newcastle’s first two goals and won the penalty - surely a nailed-on starter for England next month

6 Guimaraes:  Bossed it in the first half but Newcastle’s midfield lost control in the second

7 Willock:  Only in the side because of Tonali’s minor issue but took full advantage - his best performance of the season so far

8 Miley: First Premier League start of the season but more will soon follow - immense in the first half, scoring the crucial first goal

7 Murphy: Nightmare start when he gifted Forest opener, but made amends with goal and caused problems down the right

6 Gordon: Linked up well with Hall in the first half but quiet in the second when Newcastle needed a release valve

7 Isak: Had a hand in Newcastle’s second with class touch - showed his confidence with cheeky penalty and scored second less than two minutes later

6 Tonali (for Willock, 70): Introduced to wrestle back control but couldn’t get a grip of the game

5 Barnes (for Murphy, 70): Tough game to make an impact after Newcastle had lost their way
