Following Liverpool's 2-0 win over Manchester City, the reigning Premier League champions were quick to remind those watching of the feat it achieved last season after falling to the Reds on Sunday.
Goals from Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai saw Liverpool take another huge step towards winning the Premier League this season, with Arne Slot's side moving 11 points clear of Arsenal. The Gunners dropped points a day prior against West Ham, losing 1-0 to the Hammers.
But, after having battled both Arsenal and Liverpool for the title last year, and coming out on top, City is way off the pace this term, with Sunday serving as yet another reminder of just how far it has regressed under Pep Guardiola this season.

However, following the game at the Etihad, City were quick to remind everyone of just how good they have been in the seasons prior to their disastrous campaign this term. Guardiola's side had won the Premier League four times in a row before this season, a feat that has never previously been achieved.
After the game, they displayed a video on their big screen inside the Etihad that read: "CHAMPIONS 4-IN-A-ROW", with the years City previously won the league added below.
But after losing to Liverpool on Sunday, City now sits 20 points behind the Reds in fourth. It would take a miracle for City to win the Premier League this season, with the Reds now looking increasingly likely to be celebrating the title come May.
"That's what a title-winning performance looks like," said Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville following Szoboszlai's goal that put the Reds 2-0 up. And with West Ham having beaten Arsenal a day prior to Liverpool's win, the Gunners have been forced into needing to be perfect every single week in the Premier League if they want to have any chance of catching the Reds, a feat that will not be easy given the attacking injuries suffered to Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.
Liverpool.com says: "It's Liverpool's title to lose this season. The Reds, barring a catastrophic downturn in form, will be the Premier League champions this season. They have been the best team, with the best player in Mohamed Salah. Manchester City may have won the last four titles, but they won't be celebrating come May."
