Rio Ferdinand has slammed Manchester United following their first-half performance against Everton.
The former defender was critical of the display and admitted that he hoped that the players were the subject of a half-time dressing down from manager Ruben Amorim.
United were punished by David Moyes' side during Saturday's encounter at Goodison Park as Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure fired the Toffees into a two-goal first-half lead.

They failed to land a glove on their fellow strugglers, who have been rejuvenated since the Scottish manager took over from Sean Dyche in January. Poor defending from an Everton corner allowed for Beto to fire home before Doucoure showed desire to steer the ball past Andre Onana.
Ferdinand, who was part of the TNT Sports coverage, tweeted: "What have I just witnessed…"
During the half-time interval, the six-time Premier League-winning defender was left bemused by United's failure to fight against Everton and took aim at the first-half display.
"We said they were going to have to fight, roll their sleeves up against Everton because they were going to be really up against it and Man United haven't done that," he said.
"Zero conviction, no one taking control, slightly fortunate for Everton, scruffy but it counts. The disappointment from a Man United perspective is that you've got to clear your lines.
"You see Doucoure, he starts that move and probably runs past four or five players to get on the end of it. That shows you lack of desire, lack of understanding. You've got to fight. Don't come here, the form they're in, in this place, and think you can roll them easy without having to go toe-to-toe. Man United have not understood that assignment at all."
And the former centre-back shared his hope that Amorim had gone 'absolutely ballistic' in the dressing room at half-time in the hope it would spark the team into life in the second half.
He added: "I think that man in the picture (Ruben Amorim) went into that dressing room and smashed the place up. I hope he went absolutely ballistic.
"They were outrun, outfought, outjumped, in every single department they were second best all first-half that needs to change if they're going to get anything out the game."
