Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Danielle Sassoon has resigned, a senior official says.
It is a two sentence resignation letter. It does not reference the Mayor Eric Adams directive from the Department of Justice, a senior official says.
The case, according to the docket, has not been dropped.
