I'm putting my money where my mouth is, and buying this Roku Pro TV - chof 360 news

When it comes to TVs, bigger isn't always better. And when it comes to outfitting our bedroom upgrade, I want something big enough to watch movies on but not so large that it overwhelms my space. Sure, we could go super expensive and get an 85-inch Samsung The Frame and turn the bedroom into a theater, but the screen that fits best for us is a Goldilocks-level "not too big, not too small" 55-inch Roku Pro Series Smart TV. It also happens to be chof360's tech guru’s favorite TV of the past year. Even better? It's currently a stunning $300 off. So, yeah. I'm not just recommending this stellar smart TV to you, I'm buying one myself.

When our tech guru, Rick Broida, recommends something, I don't ask too many questions. Here's what he had to say about the Roku Pro Series: "With its superb user interface, excellent remote, automated picture settings and gorgeous screen, this is without question one of the best mid-range TVs you can buy — especially if you prize simplicity."

His biggest downside? The price, which thanks to this deal is now more than $300 less.

Why is this a good deal? ????

With a slick user interface, an excellent remote, automatic picture tuning and a stunning display, this is easily one of the best TVs out there — especially if you value a hassle-free setup and 34% off the price tag.

Why do I need this? ????

TVs aren't just about picture quality anymore — most screens look great, even the cheap ones. What really matters is ease of use, and Roku's Pro Series nails it. From a backlit, rechargeable remote to a tool-free stand setup, it's built for convenience. Plus, the QLED display with mini-LED backlighting ensures a vibrant, crisp picture without the usual setup headaches.

Smart Picture is the real game-changer, automatically adjusting settings for the best viewing experience. It fixes motion smoothing, fine-tunes contrast and even adapts brightness based on what you're watching. Backdrops, Roku's take on Samsung's The Frame, turns your screen into a digital art display.

Should you buy it? If you want a frustration-free, thoughtfully designed TV, absolutely. If you're after premium convenience and polished features, the Pro Series is worth it.

What reviewers say ????

Over 200 fans have raved about this TV, as well as chof360's own tech expert, Rick Broida, who called it his "favorite TV" of last year.

Pros ????

"With the Roku slim mounting bracket, the TV is flush to the wall. I added the in wall power and wire routing boxes to hide the wires behind it. I am really impressed with the sound quality, the dialogue is very clear," praised one five-star reviewer. "The side firing speakers really help. There is also a wide dynamic sound quality for how thin it is, not thumping but a huge improvement over so many TVs out there. Installing it using the slim mount was very easy."

"I've had my previous TV for years and decided it was time for an upgrade. Finally decided on which one as I had been using a Roku streaming device and decided to just stay with what I knew!" said another happy customer. "Easy setup, great quality while gaming and streaming movies! Definitely worth the price and will be purchasing again if I need another new device!"

A final five-star reviewer wanted something bigger and more expensive, but was pleasantly surprised when this showed up on December 25th. "This is my Christmas gift from the wife and we had a debate on what to buy. I wanted larger screen and fancier. She wanted one she could work without hassles. She won and I am glad she did. Much better than I thought."

Cons ????

One perk, is how bright and colorful this screen is. That does mean it'll be bright when using in a dark room, like this four-star reviewer. "If using in a darkened room or in the evening you must lower the brightness setting. ... I have set this unit to the lowest dark setting just to be able to watch it at night in the living room."

"I do have a couple UI (user interface) nitpicks," says Broida, "starting with this: Picture settings aren't accessible within the main Settings menu (where you might reasonably expect to find them). To reach them, you need to be watching something, then hit the asterisk button on the remote. That launches a sidebar menu with picture, sleep-timer, headphone and other settings. Not a huge deal, just something a bit counter-intuitive relative to the rest of the UI."
