Manchester United continue their hunt for consecutive FA Cup triumphs as Harry Maguire's injury-time winner ensured progression to the competition's fifth round at the expense of Leicester City.

Spirits were high knowing Man United had knocked out Arsenal in the last round; Ruud van Nistelrooy was returning to Old Trafford with his new side, and Patrick Dorgu was making his debut. Yet the fun was spoilt before the end of the first half - Bobby de Cordova-Reid converted a goal-mouth scramble to hand the Foxes the lead.

But Amorim's troops rallied, and in the second half completed a fight back. Joshua Zirkzee tapped into an empty net with plenty of time remaining, but Maguire chose to pop up in the second of three injury-time minutes with a header against his former club.

As VAR is not in operation until the FA Cup's fifth round, the fact the defender was offside was not spotted by officials, and it proved to be the telling blow. With that providing a nice shot of confidence moving on, MEN Sport looks at Man United's next five fixtures.

February 16 vs Tottenham Hotspur (A) at 4:30pm - Premier League

Next up is a Premier League trip to Tottenham. Ange Postecoglou's side were just dumped out of the Carabao Cup at the semi-final stage by Liverpool and face Aston Villa - complete with Marcus Rashford - in the FA Cup this weekend.

Following that latest result, the North Londoners are therefore on a streak of one win in five domestic matches. A win would take Man United five points clear of their opponent.

February 22 vs Everton (A) at 12:30pm - Premier League

A reunion with David Moyes comes around afterwards. The former Man United boss returned to Everton for a second stint in January. The Scotsman has seen an upturn in form at Goodison Park, where the club will depart for a new stadium at the end of the 2024/25 term.

February 26 vs Ipswich Town (H) at 7:30pm - Premier League

A repeat of Amorim's first match in charge of United last November as Kieran McKenna visits familiar surroundings with his Ipswich Town side. The Tractor Boys are desperate for points in their relegation battle.

March 1/2 vs TBC (?) - FA Cup fifth round

Following tonight's progression vs Leicester, it means the club remain in the hunt to retain the FA Cup.

There are 15 more ties to take place across the weekend's fourth round ties and the opponent for the fifth will be confirmed in Monday, February 9's draw scheduled for 7:10pm.

March 6 vs AZ Alkmaar/Galatasaray or Midtjylland/Real Sociedad (A) - Europa League Ro16

As Man United finished in the top eight of the Europa League opening phase's table, they advanced through to the round of 16 avoiding a two-legged play-off.

Those play-offs take place this month, with the winners joining the top eight in the round of 16 draw. Amorim's side can only be drawn against the winner of the two play-off ties AZ Alkmaar vs Galatasaray or Midtjylland vs Real Sociedad.

The first leg will be away, with home advantage granted to the team that finished higher in the league standings for the second leg.
