YORK Knights are set to break their attendance record against Hull KR on Friday evening – with over 4,000 tickets sold so far.

Mark Applegarth’s side welcome the beaten Super League Grand Finalists to the LNER Community Stadium in the third round of the Challenge Cup for their first home match of 2025 (7:30pm).

There’s been a massive uptake in tickets, which went on sale on Sunday evening following the Knights’ 72-12 rout of Keighley Cougars.

Over 1,000 were sold within the first hour, with the West Stand already sold out.

Since the Knights were reformed, the club’s attendance record stands at 4,281, set against Bradford Bulls in 2018.

York City’s stadium record is the 7,657 that attended their 2-0 win against Woking in April 2024, whilst the stadium attendance record is the 8,209 set at Leeds United’s pre-season friendly against AS Monaco in July 2023.

All four stands are now open for the Challenge Cup fixture, with Knights fans able to purchase tickets in the East and South Stands, and Robins’ supporters in the West and North.

Tickets are available from £20 for Adults, £15 for Concessions and free for Under 16s, and can be purchased here.
