RANDELL Wiliams is on the verge of leaving Wanderers after two years with the club.
The wing-back should wrap up a move to League One rivals Leyton Orient on deadline day for a nominal fee.
Williams has made 80 appearances for the Whites since signing from Hull City in January 2023 and has scored six times.
After picking up a foot injury the day before the play-off final in May, the 28-year-old missed a chunk of pre-season and featured just once before September 21.
He scored in a 2-1 win against Burton Albion in October but struggled to get regular football on the left after the signing of Szabi Schon. A move to the right proved successful for a short period at the end of last year but the recent addition of Alex Murphy on loan from Newcastle United has left Wanderers unable to offer him regular football.
Williams, whose previous clubs include Watford, Exeter City and Crystal Palace, played his last game for Bolton in the 3-1 defeat at Rotherham United on January 11.
He posted a vague message on social media a few weeks ago that suggested he would be leaving Wanderers, and though it was played down by former manager Ian Evatt, the defender has not appeared in a senior squad since.
Williams has recently posted footage online of him training away from the club at Ashton United.
Leyton Orient, managed by Richie Wellens, are currently three places above Wanderers in the table, occupying the final play-off position, with both clubs level on 44 points.
