West Cumbrian bare-knuckle boxer Bartek Kanabey has signed a new multi-fight deal with the major BKFC promotion.

Maryport-based Kanabey, who is set for his latest big fight next weekend, has confirmed a deal for more contests.

Kanabey is set to take on Lewis Garside in a featherweight fight in Newcastle next Saturday.

It will be his fourth BKFC fight and more will be on the horizon.

Kanabey announced his new deal in a social media post. Writing on Instagram, he said: "Big day !!!! ????????????

"I am proud and glad to announce that I signed multi fight deal with @bkfc_uk !!!

"Nothing will stop me now !!"

Kanabey, 26, has been fighting in the BKFC since the autumn of 2023, the Polish-born boxer having starred and won titles in the west Cumbrian WBKB events.

He has two wins and one defeat to his name in the BKFC so far, defeating Shaun Kissane in Liverpool and Bakhtyor Kudratov in Milton Keynes before defeat to Jack Culshaw in Newcastle last June.

Kanabey, who trains at Just Grind in Workington and is nicknamed 'the Polish Plough', had been due to take on Liverpudlian Ray Putterill in Newcastle on February 8 but the latter's withdrawal saw Sunderland fighter Garside step up.

Their contest at Newcastle's Walker Activity Dome will be part of BKFC Fight Night Newcastle. More details are via the BKFC website HERE.

His one of two west Cumbrians fighting in the BKFC, with Egremont's Agi Faulkner last year becoming European heavyweight champion.
