LUKE ‘The Nuke’ Littler says his focus is on his next game and not beyond as he prepares for his last-16 clash in the Winmau World Masters.
The Warrington teenager faces 10-time TV title winner James Wade today in the bid to reach Sunday’s quarter-finals in Milton Keynes.
Littler booked his place by breezing past Belgium’s Andy Baetens in under 11 minutes on Friday night.
“I knew there would be a great pace to the game,” reflected Littler.
“My finishing was very good and it needed to be, because Andy is a dangerous player.
“I would love to win another major title, and obviously this would be a new major to add to the list, but it’s a very strong field, so I’m just going to focus on Saturday night.”
Littler and 41-year-old Wade from Aldershot have met twice before in PDC events, winning one game each in the opening quarter of 2024.
Wade won through a topsy-turvy five-set battle against World Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker to book his date with ‘The Nuke’.
They are due on stage for the third of four games in today's evening session, around 9pm.
The winner will go on to face Jonny Clayton or Ryan Searle in the quarter-finals.
The Winmau World Masters is being broadcast live on ITV4 in the UK.
