Emma Raducanu is set to return to the court on Wednesday for the first time since a stalking ordeal at the Dubai Tennis Championships last week.

The British star was left shaken after being approached by a man displaying what the WTA described as "fixated behaviour" before her second-round defeat to Karolina Muchova.

The man was later detained and given a restraining order. Raducanu opted against pressing charges, but will be given extra security this week at Indian Wells.

Raducanu will face Japan's Moyuka Uchijima in the first round in California after deciding to take part in the hard-court tournament.

Victory over the world no52 will set up a second-round clash with world no3 Coco Gauff.

Raducanu's search for a new full-time coach goes on and she will be supported in Indian Wells by her fitness trainer Yutaka Nakamura and Tom Welsh.

Welsh has formerly worked with Leylah Fernandez, the player Raducanu beat to win the US Open in 2021, and joined the National Academy at Loughborough three years ago.

It is understood his involvement is limited solely to this one tournament.

In the men's draw, Novak Djokovic, alongside coach Andy Murray, could face Nick Kyrgios in the second round.
