Leicester City have parted company with two coaches approaching three months after appointing Ruud van Nistelrooy as manager.
First-team coach Ben Dawson and goalkeeping coach Danny Alcock have left the East Midlands club following their 4-0 home defeat to Brentford. Both joined Leicester last summer when Steve Cooper took charge and remained on the coaching staff after the mid-season management change.
That is said to have happened to help the transition from Cooper to Van Nistelrooy after taking interim charge of the team alongside Andy Hughes. The latter, a set-piece coach, is the only one to remain, with Alcock and Dawson now joining the club's former assistant manager Alan Tate and analyst/coach Steve Rands in leaving Leicester.

Van Nistelrooy explained their departures during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon. "The moment I signed with [goalkeeping coach] Jelle ten Rouwelaar, we started working together with the coaching staff," the Leicester manager said to Leicestershire Live. "They helped us in a great way.
"I communicated I would like to bring my own people in. It wasn't possible from the beginning, but during the course of the past weeks, [former Manchester City elite development squad head coach] Brian Barry-Murphy and [Leicester under-18s assistant coach] Andy King came in.
"Then you look at the roles of the coaching staff, and we decided this was the best solution. It wasn't always the plan [for Dawson and Alcock to leave].
"The plan was to start working together. From there on, you evaluate and make decisions.
"It didn't have anything to do with the results; it was separate from that." Van Nistelrooy also acknowledged the club would make no further additions to the coaching staff.
The move is strikingly similar to Van Nistelrooy departing United the day Amorim began work as head coach. His fellow assistant coach Rene Hake, first-team performance analyst Pieter Morel and Ten Rouwelaar exited the club then, too.
