MORTON playmaker Arron Lyall says that the Cappielow side must take heart from both of their performances against Partick Thistle so far this season as they look to get their first Firhill win since 2022.
The classy midfielder says that he and his teammates must make the most of their Cappielow win on Hogmanay and their opening day stalemate at Firhill, with the strides that Dougie Imrie's side have taken in that period clear to see.
Ton make the trip to Glasgow riding the crest of a wave after an eight-game unbeaten run in the Championship.
And Lyall knows the importance of hitting form at the right time, having joined Airdrie on loan last season just as they were beginning to make their assault on the promotion play-offs, as he looks to try and keep his current side's momentum going.
"There is a lot we can take from both games we've had against Partick so far this season," he said.
"Obviously, the first game of the season, there were a lot of new faces in the door and it was essentially a new team.
"We'd not really had that time to gel as a group, but it ended up that we played quite well and got a well earned point.
"Then we competed really well in the game we had here against them just the other week and got a massive result, so, we're looking forward to it.
"It's just trying to keep that going. It's always good to try and hit a wee bit of form around this time of the season. It's just all about trying to keep pushing and keep that going.
"I went into Airdrie last year at a time where they were starting to pick up a run of form. The Championship is mental.
"If you win two in the bounce and teams around you could lose two in a row and you jump two or three places, it's crazy."
