Manchester City will look to secure a spot in the Champions League round-of-16 but will have to go through the play-off route in order to do so.

Pep Guardiola's side were the only English team in the competition who failed to secure a place in the top eight. However, they knew that anything other than a victory against Club Brugge would see them eliminated from the competition at the first hurdle.

Despite going a goal behind on the brink of half-time, City came back to defeat the Belgian side 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium. Mateo Kovacic and Savinho were on the scoresheet for the hosts while Burgge's Joel Ordonez gifted them a goal.
