Reading made it five matches unbeaten as they held Birmingham City to a goalless draw at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Take a look at the player ratings below.

Joel Pereira, 6: Possibly feared a busy day against the runaway League One leaders but Pereira was kept relatively quiet, only forced into a couple of major saves. Another clean sheet, which he will please the defensive unit.

Michael Craig, 7: Took time to grow into the game but was imperious by the end, especially shining in what was a tougher second half. Excelling out of position, just consistency to work on.

Amadou Mbengue, 8: Put in some huge tackles and earned his side the point with his near-impossible goal line clearance. An apt performance to celebrate his 100th appearance for the Royals.

Tyler Bindon, 7: Solid throughout from the Nottingham Forest loanee. Did not shine as individually as his central defensive partner but still hardly put a foot wrong.

Andre Garcia, 6: More than adequate and against a side of that quality, a good learning experience for the 17-year-old. Will continue to go from strength to strength.

Lewis Wing, 6: A bit quieter than his role last week but he became more prominent as the game wore on. Still looks like he could do with an extra rest, one of the few players to feature in every minute so far.

Harvey Knibbs, 7: He was absolutely everywhere. Winning tackles, driving with the ball at his feet, getting shots in. Boundless energy and plenty of skill. An impressive display.

Charlie Savage, 6: A level of performance we have come to expect from the youngster. Full of energy and a key part of the press, Savage flew into tackles and loved the opportunity to get on the ball and dictate play.

Mamadi Camara, 5: A quiet display from the youngster, who was knocked off the ball a little easy. A tough game to shine in with little attacking impetus.

Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, 6: No sights of goal but good hold-up play throughout. Unfortunate to come off early with a cut to the head.

Chem Campbell, 6: Had moments where he impressed but they were only every now and then. Desperately needs a goal or assist to find form in front of goal.

Substitutes

Jayden Wareham, 6: Had a few sights of goal and put himself about. Coped well with the physical back line.

Billy Bodin, n/a
