Young man dies after fatal road crash on A82 as police appeal for dash cam footage

A 22-year-old man died after two cars collided near Stonemolan roundabout on the A82 motorway yesterday evening.

Police launched an appeal for information and camera footage after the man died in an accident between two Fords.

The crash occurred on Thursday, 25 November at around 6.45pm on the A82 and involved a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Focus.

Emergency services rushed to attend but unfortunately the 22-year-old Fiesta driver was pronounced dead at the scene. As a result, no further injuries were reported.

The road remained closed for about eight hours as the police conducted their investigation and reopened around 3am.

Sergeant Archie McGuire said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time.

“Our inquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash cam footage that could help contact us.

“I would also like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the accident or saw the vehicles prior to the accident to contact you.”
