Voice chat noise suppression comes to Xbox One and PC in latest Xbox update

If you’ve long felt angry at the Xbox Elite controller’s lack of chameleon-like powers, you’re (sort of) lucky; Among other things, the newly released September Xbox update gives Elite owners the option to imbue the central button with the glowing LED color of their dreams.

Customization options for the Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 Xbox button can be found in the latest version of the Xbox Accessories app on console and PC while a controller is connected. Here, users can visit the Color tab to tinker with the Xbox button brightness, or use the menu sliders to choose one from the possible 16 million hues.

In addition to customizing the buttons, the September Xbox update brings a refresh to the “My Games & Apps” Full Library view on consoles, streamlining access to all available games to install and play. Additionally, “All Games” now lists every title a user has access to, including those on Game Pass, EA Access, and those claimed through Games with Gold.

And if you want more console features, Xbox One and Series X/S users can now also choose the default install locations for all games and apps from the “Change installation locations” menu under the storage device settings.

On PC, the Xbox Game Bar now gives users the ability to fetch a shareable link for every recording they take, and party chat noise reduction — which came to Xbox Series X/S last month — is now available for both PC and PC. Xbox One .

And finally, for the September update, the Xbox app has a new ‘Start party’ option designed to make it faster and easier to jump into a game with a friend. By visiting the new Party option in the Social tab, players can browse through previously formed parties and hit the Start button to instantly dive back into that group.
