The best Black Friday deals for headphones

The modern world of podcasting, podcasting, and working from home requires appropriate audio accessories that allow you to immerse yourself in work. We’ve picked out some of the best deals for over-ear headphones and some TWS audio wearables as it’s Black Friday all week.

Our first choice is the Sony WH-CH710N which may be a couple of years old but is still quite a bang. We loved them in 2020, and today we love them even more with a whopping 55% off. The battery provides approximately 35 hours of playtime on a single charge, which is the average length of a workweek in many countries.

Philips may be a brand more associated with appliances and other devices, but the H9505 Hybrid is an amazing pair of headphones. We should also note the massive 60% discount which is one of the main reasons to choose this deal.

The Jabra Elite 85h offers great battery life and impressive active noise cancellation, and we loved the fast charging. One caveat is the copper/gold accents—yes, you won’t see them, but you will notice because they tend to be quite striking.

Every list of capable speakers should include the Bose 700. The big discount is for the white pair, but traditionalists can also get this audio accessory in black at a slightly lower discount. While these noise canceling headphones are among the best looking, their battery life isn’t impressive, and that can get annoying if you’re often outside.

The Sennheiser Momentum 3 isn’t the latest model in the series—there’s a fourth iteration now, too. We recommend the 3rd generation because the deal is better, the price is lower, and they still feel great. After all, Black Friday is all about getting the best deal, and the Momentum 3 is a head above its newer sibling in that regard.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 is the latest and greatest over-ear headphone Sony has made, and it was an easy proposition to put on our Black Friday list. There are some bargains out there, but we still recommend getting the previous version, the WH-1000XM4, if you’re not willing to spend that much. The more powerful discounts make it the more interesting offer of the two.

The Bose QuietComfort 45 is a natural competitor to Sony’s in-ear headphones. We don’t think this pair is going to get any cheaper anytime soon, so you’d better grab that 33% off — it gives you one of the best, if not the best over-ear headphones out there, with amazing performance, great battery life, and active noise cancellation.

We were personally impressed with the sound provided by Soundcore, an audio brand from Anker that offers a great audio experience at an affordable price. Now, with Black Friday ahead of us, those deals seem even sweeter, so we’re not recommending four different pairs of earphones.

Moving away from the over-ear headphones, we also have a nice selection of TWS earphones. A different form factor for active people who prefer a different kind of acoustic comfort. These wearable audio devices fall into a class of their own, but they’re still great for sports, gaming, business calls, and on-the-go conversations, so here are our picks this Black Friday.

TWS earphone deals

Switching gears In the middle of this list of deals to TWS headphones, the Realme Buds Air 3 are the first set that comes to mind. It offers above average sound quality, good bass and basic noise cancellation. Most importantly, they have a universally comfortable fit, which cannot be said for all earphones in this category.

Sony WF-1000XM4 has been on the market for over a year now. Its sound quality is outstanding for earphones in this class, and Sony’s active noise cancellation is an industry standard. The Black Friday deals are very attractive, and we can’t recommend these TWS headphones enough. Be aware that they may not be the most comfortable in-ear for long periods of time—at least not for everyone.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro arrived in August, and the Korean manufacturer is already offering a Black Friday deal. These headphones are Samsung’s latest and greatest, and at this price, they’re a steal.

The Apple AirPods Pro 2 arrived three years after the first Pro and Cupertino decided to invest in improving performance rather than design. These are clearly the best earphones to partner with the iPhone, and one of the best times to get hold of such an audio wearable is right now.

Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation)

Some users may not like the design of the Pro with rubber tips, so Apple also has regular AirPods. Yes, there are some minor compromises, but the price is also more attractive, especially with the Black Friday discount. Too bad it’s not available in all the markets we surveyed.

The Google Pixel Buds Pro is a direct competitor to the Samsung and Sony products on this exact list. We added these earbuds because they sound good, they pair easily with any Android phone, and the battery life is commendable.

The Google Pixel Buds A-Series are similar to the Pixel A smartphones – a more affordable alternative to the flagship series. And given that these are 35% off, we recommend them to any Android user who likes to have an authentic Google feel with them.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are the most expensive pair of TWS headphones on this list, but the truth is, they are worth every dollar, especially on Black Friday when the price drops. They offer the world’s best active noise cancellation, and they’re also very comfortable.

Bose could have worked a bit on the looks, but if you can stomach the $250 TWS headphones, you can afford to grin on your bulky earphones.

Wired headphones deals

Moving on to some of the wired options, first we have the Audio-Technica twins. The more expensive M50x is known for its colorful sound, powerful bass, treble response, and high amount of detail. Ironically, the cheaper M40x is the more neutral and balanced sounding of the two, making it better suited for mastering purposes.

Sennheiser’s impressive HD 650 is a powerhouse in the audiophile headphone world despite its relatively modest price tag. They make most more expensive headphones redundant with their all-around performance. Meanwhile, the IE300 IEM is great for those who want high-quality bass with high-quality sound.

If you want something more affordable, you simply can’t go wrong with the premium Moondrop Aria. And for those on a tighter budget, the KZ ZEX Pro is also a great choice.
