Squid Game Star Oh Yeong-su Charged With Sexual Misconduct

South Korean authorities accuse Squid Game star Oh Yeong-su of sexual misconduct as the actor denies the allegations against him.

Squid game Actress Oh Young Soo has been accused of sexual misconduct and harassment.

Per Korea JoongAng Daily, the actor was charged by the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office and accused of “inappropriately touching” an unnamed woman in 2017. Throughout the investigation, Oh denied all allegations against him. His translated statement read: “I held her hand to direct the way around the lake. I apologized for that [the person] She said she wouldn’t make a fuss about it, but that doesn’t mean I admit the charges.” The prosecution stated that it had obtained evidence of harassment of the victim and would bring the case to trial.

The report stated that the case was originally brought to the authorities in December 2021 before it was closed in April 2022 without any charges being filed. Following the victim’s appeal, the accusations are now being investigated again. It remains unclear whether Oh will appear in court, and if so, when the trial will take place.

Oh is a popular South Korean actor who is widely known for his stage and stage work. He has appeared in quite a few movies including Great Queen Seondeok, little monk And the Spring, summer, fall, winter…and spring. His breakout role was Player #1, otherwise known as Oh Il-Nam, in Netflix Squid game For which we won a Golden Globe Award in January 2022.
