2024-25 NBA championship odds: Lakers, Warriors charging up oddsboard - chof 360 news

There's not much time left in NBA regular season.

While the Boston Celtics became NBA champions for the 18th time at the end of last season, the path to another championship won't be a cakewalk, as there are a number of real contenders in both conferences.

And their longtime rival suddenly appears to be one of those contenders.

Now that we're on the other side of the All-Star break, here's a look at the NBA title odds at DraftKings Sportsbook as of March 3.

Don't look now, but here come the Lakers. 

L.A. has won 18 of its last 22, including six in a row behind its new super-duo of LeBron James and Luka Dončić. 

During that six-game win streak, James has led the Lakers in scoring three times, and Dončić has led the team in scoring three times. 

The Lakers — currently second in the Western Conference standings — are now tied with the Warriors for fourth on the oddsboard, trailing only the Thunder, Celtics and Cavs, the three best teams in the league record-wise. 

As for the Warriors, they are making a move up the standings as well, tied for the sixth-best record in the West with the Clippers. Reminder: The top six teams in each conference avoid the Play-In Tournament. 

Golden State has won seven of its last nine, and has just one loss since squiring Jimmy Butler — a four-point defeat at Dallas on Feb. 12.
