Every Tuesday and Thursday, THN Fantasy expert Jason Chen will highlight his best picks to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of chof360 leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Goalies
Samuel Ersson, PHI at PIT (27% rostered)
It worked great last time on Tuesday so we’re going back to this well again. Ersson is going for his fourth straight win and in his previous game against the Pens on Tuesday allowed just one goal on 24 shots (.958 SP) in a 6-1 win. It helps that the Flyers offense has scored 12 goals in their past two games, and scoring against the woeful Pens shouldn’t be a problem.
Expect the Pens to come out stronger on home ice – they’re 13-12-4 at home vs. 10-16-6 on the road – but the Flyers have a distinct advantage. Ersson’s on fire and I have no problems rolling with a hot goalie. Look for a win and a good save percentage, making him one of Thursday’s top options.

Defensemen
Jackson LaCombe, ANA vs. VAN (35% rostered)
Another point will extend LaCombe’s points streak to four games and this is a good matchup with the Canucks playing the second half of a back-to-back while the Ducks are back at home following a three-game road trip. LaCombe’s ice time has increased significantly post-4 Nations, averaging over 25 minutes per game.
Mason Lohrei, BOS vs. NYI (10% rostered)
Lohrei’s a great streaming option with Charlie McAvoy unavailable, quarterbacking the Bruins’ top power play. Lohrei’s offensive upside isn’t huge – he’s not a long-term PP1 QB – but he’s also averaging over 21 minutes over the past two games and scored four assists with 10 shots. He’s clearly taken more onus on creating offense, and that bodes well for his fantasy value.

Forwards
Patrik Laine, LW/RW, MTL vs. SJ (45% rostered)
Laine has been feasting with the Habs power play with three points in his past two games. The Habs offense has suddenly come alive with nine goals since the 4 Nations break, and they should have no problems scoring goals against the Sharks. Laine can be frustrating because he does little else outside the man advantage, but the Sharks are so defensively poor Laine should be able to take advantage still.
Dmitri Voronkov, LW, CBJ at DET (34% rostered)
Adam Fantilli, C, CBJ at DET (31% rostered)
Kent Johnson, C/LW/RW, CBJ at DET (23% rostered)
Boone Jenner, C/LW, CBJ at DET (21% rostered)
You know the drill. I’ve been singing the Jackets’ praises all season and scoring six goals against the Stars – one of the league’s best teams with an elite goalie – should erase further doubt. All four players managed to score a point, with Fantilli providing the most upside as their top center, while Voronkov and Johnson are good complementary scorers who play PP1 with Fantilli. Jenner’s fantasy profile is a little different – he provides a lot of hits and goals – and note he’s scored a point in every game since returning.
