Research Quest ‘Pokémon World Championship 2022’ in Pokémon Go

The Pokémon World Championship 2022 is a timed quest only available in Pokémon Go until Tuesday, August 23 at 8 p.m. (local time). If you don’t complete the quest before this deadline, you will lose the chance to earn the rewards forever!

Five Pokémon can learn a specific move if you earn the Pokémon through evolution during the Pokémon World Championship event in Pokémon Go.

These Pokémon, along with the moves, are:

    • Trainer Battles – 40 Power
    • Gyms and raids – 40 power
  • Gyarados – Aqua Tail (water-type attack charged)
    • Trainer Battles – 50 Power
    • Gyms and raids – 50 power
  • Metagros – Meteor Mash (steel type charge attack)
    • Trainer Battles – 100 Power
    • Gyms and Raids – 100 Power
  • Rhyperior – Rock Wrecker (loaded rock type attack)
    • Trainer Battles – 110 Power
    • Gyms and raids – 110 power
  • Claw Flame – Burn (fire type fast attack)

Remember: To earn these moves, you need to receive these Pokémon through evolutions, so for Gyarados’ move you need to evolve a Magikarp by using 400 candies during the event.
