Last week’s game between Oklahoma State and the Oklahoma Sooners wasn’t a total blowout, but with Oklahoma State falling 28-13 on the road, it was pretty damn close to becoming one. One thing that held Oklahoma State back was the mediocre play of QB Spencer Sanders, who didn’t have his best game: despite one touchdown, he threw four interceptions.

Meanwhile, West Virginia took a heavy blow last week when they fell 48-31 to the Kansas State Wildcats. A silver lining for West Virginia was the play of WR Sam James, who caught three passes for three touchdowns and 102 yards. That receiving effort made it the first game James received over 100 yards.

The Cowboys are the favorite in this one, with an expected margin of victory of 8.5 points. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with Oklahoma State going 4-5 on the spread.

After a no-to-no tie last year in their first game, Oklahoma State faced West Virginia 24-3 in their second game. It takes a full 90 minutes of effort to come away with a similar result.
