Liverpool will reportedly try “immediately” to sign French midfielder Adrien Rabiot and the transfer is likely to take place “as early as January”.
The Reds are known to be in the market for a new midfielder. They are expected to add at least one new player to their squad in this position in the coming months.

Liverpool attacked Juventus to bring Arthur Melo on loan until next summer. The former Barcelona man was previously linked to Arsenal.
The transfer of the midfielder to the Premier League is not yet planned. He was gradually gaining fitness before suffering a thigh injury last month. It is believed that he may be out until February at the latest.
Liverpool have the option to sign Arthur permanently next year. But Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport stated that keeping him beyond this season was “unimaginable”.
They go so far as to say Arthur has been a ‘failure’ with him making just one appearance for Liverpool so far.

Manchester United moved to sign him from Juventus during the summer as he entered the final year of his contract.
This transfer eventually fell through and Now Chelsea is linked with him.
Juventus have struggled this season as they have already been knocked out of the Champions League. But Rabiot impressed and added goals to his game as he scored five goals in 16 matches.
Calciomercato reports that Rabiot’s model has put him to good use and is currently “open to any solution”.
The Frenchman has options elsewhere, and reports that Liverpool will “immediately try” to sign him.
It is claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s side could “return to doing business with Juventus as early as January”.
The report adds that Liverpool’s option is to offer Kostas Tsimikas to Juventus as part of a swap deal.
It should be noted that Tsimikas ‘has already been linked to the first division’ and is under contract until 2025.
Calciomercato suggests Juventus may be open to this transfer because Tsimikas is a player who could be an “interesting solution” for them at left-back, and Alex Sandro is said to be struggling.Read:Manchester United fans in agreement over Raphael Varane replacement following injury
Juventus are still keen to keep Rabio even though they are ‘evaluating a renewal’ of his contract.
It is also unclear if Liverpool would be willing to let Tsimikas leave. He is an important member of their team even though he plays second fiddle to Andy Robertson.
