Liverpool FC — How Fabio Carvalho has impressed Roberto Firmino

After playing as Fulham to win the championship title in 2021-22, Carvalho moved to Liverpool in July and played in every game before suffering a dead leg in last weekend’s Merseyside derby.

The number 28 scored his first goal for the club with a lavish volley in AFC Bournemouth’s 9-0 home game, then followed with a dramatic 98th-minute winner against Newcastle United.

“He’s a great player,” Firmino told ELEVEN. “I must confess that I saw some of his games before he came to Liverpool, so I was already impressed with the way he played.

“He is a star, he is a great player and now he is also a very good friend. We are happy to have him here at Liverpool and I know he will help us a lot, with assists, goals and also his character on the field.”
