Liverpool FC can confirm Harvey Elliott has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The 19-year-old put pen to paper at the AXA Training Center on Thursday and then expressed his joy at doing so.

“It’s always nice to know I’ll be here for many years to come, which is always great because it’s my boys’ club and there’s nothing in this world that makes me happier and more excited than this,” Elliott told

The number 19 made his first-team breakthrough for Jürgen Klopp in the early stages of last season after an impressive loan spell with Blackburn Rovers in 2020/21.

After signing new terms with Liverpool in July 2021, Elliott started three of the Reds’ first four Premier League games of the season before his progress was curtailed by a serious ankle injury he sustained at Leeds United in September.

He made a high-scoring return in the Emirates FA Cup win over Cardiff City in February and came off the bench in the Carabao Cup final, scoring a penalty in the shootout win against Chelsea at Wembley, before taking his first England U21s in March. cap won.

In total, Elliott has made 22 senior appearances since his arrival at Anfield in the summer of 2019, including substitute appearances against Manchester City and former club Fulham so far this season.

“We’ve already won so much and hopefully we can win so much more, so just to know that I’ll be here again for a long time – as I said, it’s always a great feeling for myself and my family [and] as Liverpool supporters there is no better place in this world to play for Liverpool and put on the shirt and go out and play for the team and the fans.

“I hope there are many more memories to come, but I’m so excited to put pen to paper and stay here for much longer.”
