Kylian Mbappe snubbed Jason Cummings’ offer to swap shirts as Australia star makes hilarious World Cup confession

Jason Cummings revealed that Kylian Mbappe rejected his offer to switch shirts.

The Australian forward made his World Cup debut when he came on during his country’s match against France on Tuesday night. Australia took the lead in Qatar before suffering a crushing 4-1 defeat. But Cummings thought he could at least get something from the game – in the form of a souvenir from the Paris Saint-Germain star.

However, the 27-year-old striker was injured when Mbappe revealed that he did not fancy the Cummings summit, and the former Hibs, Rangers and Dundee striker had to make do with the shirt of Barcelona defender Jules Conde. He said: “After the match I was disappointed with the result so I kind of missed my boat a little bit and then I asked Mbappe, and I went to the main guy.

I asked him and he said, ‘I’ll see you in the locker room,’ so I was humming. So we went into the changing room, I was with Cammy (Devlin) and I think the playmaker came over and he was like, ‘Give me your shirts and I’ll go get Mbappe and whatever.

“You gave it to me, we’re standing there, from above. Ten minutes later he came back with both football kits and gave me my upper back and said, ‘No, he doesn’t want to swap.'” He probably glanced at me and thought, “I’ll just leave it.”

“On my way out, I was walking back, back to the changing room and I passed Condi, and I was like, ‘Condi, can I get your shirt? I took this, just for a little memory. Mbappe would have been good. I probably would have sold him anyway.”
