Kier hires Laing O’Rourke veteran for London office push




Joined the newly created role of London Regional Manager in January responsible for the operational delivery of Kier’s commercial and residential projects across the capital.

Wright has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry having held senior roles at Ardmore and Mace and most recently nearly seven years at Laing O’Rourke, where recent successes have included the delivery of the Brunel Building.

His appointment comes amid a period of growth for Kier in London’s premium commercial and residential market, securing over £200m in new contracts both on site and in the pre-construction phase.

David Mackenzie, Managing Director of Kier Construction, London & Southern, said: “As part of our strategy we have built a strong portfolio in London and Gus will enhance our operational leadership, capabilities and capability for our clients in London.”
