I’m a Celebrity’s Babatundeh Alesi admitted he was “surprised” at his friendship with fellow camp Matt Hancock.

The comedian, 34, who was Wednesday the fifth celebrity to leave the woods, revealed that the couple are “bonded by parenthood.”

Speaking live from Australia on Friday this morning, he went on to say that the camp’s grueling diet of rice and beans caused him to drop 1.5 stone.

Bonding: A Celeb’s Babatunde Alice, 34, admits he’s ‘surprised’ in his relationship with fellow camper Matt Hancock as revealed Friday This Morning

Detailing his friendship with Matt, he admitted: ‘It surprised me.

“The way we bonded was definitely surprising…we bonded through parenthood and that’s the thing we talked about.”

Babatunde shares young son Judah with wife Leonie, while Deputy Matt shares three teenage children with estranged wife Martha Hoyer Millar – they divorced after his affair with Gina Coladangelo.

The Celebrity Gogglebox star then went on to talk about weight loss and the facts of life at camp.

“You only see a small part of camp life, so 24 hours in the woods – we thought we could ask the crew for some biscuits or sandwiches or something – but when they say rice and beans, they really mean it!”.

On who he’d like to win, Baba said: ‘I said Owen at first, but I’d be very happy if Jill got that. They are my best friends over there.

The interview came ahead of a Friday night show that will see Matt and Mike Tindall team up to face their latest grueling trial.

The duo find themselves fish-gut and covered in spiders as they work together on the Fallen Stars Challenge to win meals at camp.

In a preview of the episode, the rugby player, 44, finds himself sitting on a platform and falling into a sloppy tank when he answers a question incorrectly.

And every wrong answer adds up to extra time that politician Matt, 44, must spend in a cage with all kinds of creepy crawlies.

In the clip, Mike struggles when hosts Ant & Dec ask: “What’s the collective name for a group of spiders?”.

Mike shakes his brains only to have December sarcastically say, “I’m going to need Mike’s answer.”

Yes I have gathered that “the former English legend is back again.”

Guessing incorrectly, Mike finds himself plunged into the horrible liquid while Matt laughs: “Well done.”

As a result, the Tory MP got up on his hands and knees in a cage of mysterious spiders.
