Everyone loves to haggle when it comes to buying a car, but is it much better than a brand-new pickup for £1,800?
It’s called Hondsheng Pickup and it is an all-electric truck with air conditioner, interior screen and suitable hydraulic loading bed.
So, what’s the point? Well, it’s more of a case than it isn’t.Read:What to do with a wet phone: How to dry the phone without breaking it
Hondsheng is based on a golf cart, it can’t be driven on the road legally, it only runs at 27mph and you can only buy one from Alibaba.com in China.
But that’s exactly what a man calls it Mika Toll He did, and he was documenting what it’s like to live with him.
Mika lives in Florida in the US, and Hondsheng finally arrived on a pallet after a long wait, but he was much better than he expected.
He admits in his Electrek.co updates that he spent a bit more than planned to import the truck.
“The $2,000 sticker price for the truck inflated after another $1,000 for the largest battery and $2,000 for shipping, plus US fees,” he said.
Once unwrapped, Mika began using the pickup truck around his parents’ farm for heavy lifting work.
We generally recharge the truck every two weeks, and it theoretically has a range of about 50 miles (80 km) or more.Read:MultiVersus has already welcomed 10m players to the brawl
“The bed is great and I’ve really put it to good use collecting yard waste around the floor and returning it to the trash heap.”
And despite its low price, you get a decent product.
It features all-metal body panels, power windows and doors with a key lock, and a complete lighting package with flashes, headlights, spotlights, taillights and reversing lights.
“There’s a backup camera, a steel charging rack and bed rack, a high-powered charger, a windshield wiper with washer fluid, and the air conditioning is super powerful.
“I can even connect my phone to bluetooth and play music or movies on the infotainment system.”
