Triple murder suspect Jimmy Barrow appeared today (25 November) in a courtroom at Nottingham Magistrates Court after being charged in the death of a young mother and her two girls. Barrow, 31, of Fairisle Close, Clifton, was placed in remand last night (24 November) after police identified him as the man accused of the murders.
The victims were Fatumata Haidara, 28, who was pronounced dead two days after the deaths of her two young daughters. Naima Dramame, aged one, and Fatima Dramame, age three, who died as a result of a fire at Fairisle Close in the early hours of Sunday 20 November.
Assistant Chief Constable Rob Griffin, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family at this incredibly painful time, as well as the communities affected by these most tragic incidents. The grief this family has experienced is incomprehensible.
“Large teams of investigators are working relentlessly alongside specialized research units and forensic experts to understand the full circumstances behind this arson attack.”
