Manchester United have been one of several clubs linked with Victor Osimhen as Europe's biggest clubs search for a new striker.

The Reds, Arsenal, and Chelsea are three Premier League sides that need a new No. 9, and Osimhen appears to fit the bill. Reports from last summer indicated that his loan deal at Galatasaray from Napoli included a break clause, which would have allowed him to change clubs during the winter transfer window.

However, a move never materialised, and he has since gone on to score 17 goals and provide five assists across all competitions for Galatasaray so far this season. It's a phenomenal return and one that should be attracting interest from Old Trafford, if a potential deal for Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres does not get completed.

The latest reports in TBR Football claim that both Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund could be used in a swap deal for the Nigerian striker. United's PSR issues are well documented and that means tough decisions will have to be made with the Reds' current first-team squad.

Players who would not normally be for sale may need to be sacrificed to fund big-money transfers. However, these reports of Hojlund and Garnacho being used in a swap deal would be bad business for United.

Garnacho's homegrown status as an academy player means his sale would represent profit for Ruben Amorim's team. If he were to depart M16, only a sale would make sense.

Hojlund, meanwhile, may be more dispensable. Along with Joshua Zirkzee, United's strikers have scored just 12 goals between them all season.

If Hojlund needs to be sacrificed for a more experienced striker, then so be it. But also using Garancho in a swap deal would be just another bad transfer decision by United which could set them back even further.
