Liverpool is reportedly interested in signing Wolfsburg duo Mohamed Amoura and Konstantinos Koulierakis.

According to Sport Bild, the Reds are keen on both players as Richard Hughes and his recruitment team considers possible options ahead of the summer transfer window.

Amoura is on loan at Wolfsburg from Belgian side Union SG and has provided eight goals and assists in 21 Bundesliga appearances this campaign. The report adds the German side plans to make the deal permanent for a fee of around €16.5m ($17m/£13.8m) and then set a summer asking price of €40m ($41m/£33.4m) for the 24-year-old.

Arsenal and Eintracht Frankfurt have also been linked with moves for the Algerian, who has scored eight goals in 30 international appearances. Amoura has already played in three European leagues, with the report claiming Arsenal has spoken to the player’s agent regarding a possible transfer.

Sport Bild also states Liverpool has made enquiries about Koulierakis, with the center-back reportedly being monitored by Real Madrid, AC Milan and several Premier League sides. The Greek international only joined from PAOK in the summer but has impressed in the Bundesliga, missing just one league match since his arrival.

Koulierakis is also capable of playing left-back and, at 21, is seen as a player with high potential. With Liverpool possibly in the market for a central and left-sided defender this summer, Koulierakis could offer an attractive proposition and is valued at €40m ($41m/£33.4m)

An upgrade on Andy Robertson has routinely been spoken about as a priority ahead of next season, a call Jamie Carragher has led. Meanwhile, should Virgil van Dijk depart Liverpool, it would also be in the market for another center-back.

As for Amoura, a move for the striker could offer a replacement for Darwin Nunez if he leaves. The Uruguayan has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia after falling down the pecking order under Arne Slot. But Amoura rarely plays from the right wing and would not be a like-for-like change for Mohamed Salah if he leaves when his contract expires in June.
