Liverpool is reportedly among the clubs showing interest in highly rated Sunderland youngster Chris Rigg. It is reported by CaughtOffside that Rigg, 17, could be made available for £25million ($31m) during the summer transfer window.

The attacking midfielder is one of the hottest prospects in England right now, having already played 54 times for Sunderland despite his young age. Sunderland is reportedly open to cashing in on the teenager at the end of the season, with a host of top clubs said to be interested in the youngster.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Brighton, Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid are all named as clubs which are keen on Rigg.

Sunderland has rejected approaches for Rigg in the past but is seemingly ready to let the prized youngster move on in a few months' time.

Meanwhile, Liverpool is once again being linked with a move for Feyenoord's Slovakian center-back David Hancko, who previously played under Arne Slot in the Netherlands.

According to CaughtOffside, the 27-year-old defender is on Liverpool's radar, while Chelsea, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, and Juventus are all said to be considering a possible swoop. Liverpool is said to be keeping a 'close eye' on Hancko's situation, although the player himself hasn't made any decisions about his future.

Liverpool could be in the market for a new center-back this summer, particularly if captain Virgil van Dijk does not end up renewing his contract with the Reds. Van Dijk's current deal expires at the end of June and, while talks are ongoing over an extension, the club will no doubt be planning for all possible incomes.

Interestingly, Hancko revealed last year that he had spoken to Slot about the possibility of joining him at Anfield, only to discover Liverpool's transfer policy meant a transfer was unlikely.

Hancko said: "I was in contact with the coach (Slot). But he immediately told me that it was not possible. Liverpool have a certain transfer philosophy. Age was one issue, the other was price. Both factors were negative for me."
