Accrington Stanley collected another point towards League Two safety with a goalless draw with automatic promotion chasing AFC Wimbledon.
Neither side could break the deadlock in a competitive game at the Wham Stadium with in-form Wimbledon extending their own unbeaten streak to eight games.
It was a second successive 0-0 draw for the Reds at home - and another welcome clean sheet for a new-look defence.
Stanley boss John Doolan made three changes from the defeat at Port Vale bringing in January signing Devon Matthews, making his EFL debut in the backline, alongside Tyler Walton and Connor O’Brien to the starting line-up.
The first shot came from Ben Woods on nine minutes but he fired over, while Josh Neufville put a couple of dangerous balls into the Stanley box in the early stages.
AFC Wimbledon had a great chance on 17 minutes when Aron Sasu turned in the area, but his low shot was superbly saved by the foot of Billy Crellin.
Sasu put a pacey ball across the face of goal which just needed a touch, while Alistair Smith blasted over as the visitors enjoyed a spell of pressure.
At the other end, Jake Batty’s long throws caused a few problems for the Wimbledon defence, but the Reds were unable to test Owen Goodman until, just before half time, the stopper had to tip over a header from his own player from a Batty throw.
Stanley were on the attack at the start of the second half and Ash Hunter’s 30-yard strike was not far off the top corner.
They forced a number of corners and free-kicks around the visiting area, but the Wimbledon defence held firm while Walton’s ball in just needed a touch.
Charlie Caton came on on 64 minutes as the January signing from Chester got the chance to make his mark, while Southampton loanee Joe O’Brien-Whitmarsh came on soon after for his Reds debut.
It was then end-to-end but Wimbledon came close with Marcus Browne heading off target from close range.
Stanley had loud appeals for handball in the area on 78 minutes but referee Scott Oldham waved them away as it finished all-square.
