Wales fans once again were united in song hours before the crunch Six Nations game against Italy, taking over one of the most famous tourist sites in Rome. The sight of a red choir belting out Calon Lan against the backdrop of the Spanish Steps stunned locals ahead of the game.
The gathering was boosted by former Wales captain Sam Warburton who joined in the singing and filmed part of the event. The proud Welshman said: "In case the team think fans have lost faith. We will always support the boys to take the field through thick and thin. Great effort from the fans. Good luck lads."
Dave Dulin, of Wonky Sheep Travel, says they have taken around 200 fans to the city this weekend. He said: "The atmosphere is good but it’s raining now. It lasted about 10 minutes and there were a few songs sung finishing with the National Anthem."
