Manchester United supporters have been having their say on Andre Onana.
The MEN reported on Monday morning that Onana is intent on staying at Old Trafford next season despite his struggling form. However, Ruben Amorim wants to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer, but the Cameroon international considers United to be the only club he wishes to play for.
The report from Samuel Luckhurst also said that United are expected to recruit a new goalkeeper as Tom Heaton is likely to retire when his contract expires in June. Number two goalie and Turkey international Altay Bayindir’s future could lie elsewhere should he seek more playing time before the 2026 World Cup.

Onana has made a number of errors since joining United from Inter Milan for just under £50m two years ago. And Reds supporters, having their say in the comments section of the MEN, believe it might be time for the club to look for a new goalkeeper.
Reader Fenman41 said: “The main problem is that Onana has no spatial awareness and this means that, along with not reading the play, means that more often than not he is out of position.
"Yes, he makes some good saves but more often than not, he either makes saves more difficult or even worse. Yesterday was a good example - his position for the two Smith Rowe shots started in the centre of the goal, on then line, and stayed there, when he should have moved off his line and to his right to narrow the angle. To be honest, I do not think he understands the concept of narrowing the angle. Sorry, but the comparison with Bernd Leno showed his problems.”
Commenter 1968red wrote: “Ultimately it's not up to him. We need a reliable top class keeper like De Gea, Van Der Saar and Sergio Romero, not one who's a liability in a lot of games.”
Peteb17 agrees, saying: “Come back David De Gea, we should never have let him leave in the first place, it was disgusting the way he was treated and allowed to leave.”
Derek remarked: “Reflex shot stopping is his only quality. No urgency or control of the area. The pantomime with Lindelof at the short goal kick summed it up. He needs replacing ASAP.”
Jungle Jerry said: “If Amorim really believes that Onana should be his No. 1 keeper moving forward, then I guess it's time to look for a new keeper and chief coach.”
5ean said: “I've been pro-Onana. His pinpoint accuracy at passing out, and his willingness to play as the last defender almost, are great in the modern game. But he holds on to the ball far too long, his decision making and distribution is far too slow. Yesterday in the cup vs. Fulham, he was ambling when taking dead ball kicks.
"There was just no urgency at all. He clearly doesn't read the game well. Bayindir must be given the remaining games of the season to give a sustained run of games before we make a decision in the summer. There should be huge changes coming in the summer for the keepers at United.”
