Liverpool is interested in signing 16-year-old left-back Saba Kharebashvili from Dinamo Tbilisi.

It is claimed that Reds scouts have been monitoring the Georgian teenager and have been impressed with what they've seen, so much so that the club is considering swooping for the youngster. Anfield Watch reports that Kharebashvili is also attracting transfer interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona after establishing himself as Dinamo Tbilisi's first-choice left-back despite his tender age.

It is claimed that Liverpool is familiar with the Georgian top-flight club's youth system having previously tracked its most high-profile academy product, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Liverpool's interest is said to be stronger than the interest from Madrid and Barcelona at this stage, but he is a player that the Reds would have to wait to sign. Liverpool can strike a deal with Dinamo Tbilisi and Kharebashvili now, but FIFA rules stipulate that he would not be able to move to Merseyside until he turns 18 years old next year.

Liverpool is expected to address the left-back position during the summer transfer window, with Andy Robertson now in his 30s and having shown some signs of decline this season. Other left-backs who have been linked with the Reds include Milos Kerkez of Bournemouth, Ajax's Jorell Hato and Wolves' Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Meanwhile, TBR Football says that Liverpool is among the Premier League clubs interested in signing Joshua Kimmich on a free transfer in the summer. According to a BILD report earlier this week, Bayern executives informed Kimmich that an offer to renew his contract, which is due to expire at the end of this season, has been withdrawn.

Kimmich had reportedly been seeking a slight pay rise on his current weekly wage of just under $400,000 (£320,000), pushing for a better deal in light of his performances in recent months. BILD reported that discussions about Kimmich's future took place at Bayern's quarterly supervisory board meeting on Monday.

It is reported that an increased offer was ruled out and the existing one withdrawn, although the same source suggests that the possibility of a new deal hasn't been entirely dismissed. Liverpool could both be in the market for right-back reinforcements in the summer, with Trent Alexander-Arnold looking likely to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.
