MORTON midfielder Ali Crawford admits that a horror six minute spell still feels like a blur as Livingston blew the Greenock side away on Tuesday night.

Ton had in fact taken the lead through Aaron Lyall's first half strike, capping off a fine breakaway.

But they then hit the self destruct button in a harrowing ten minute spell that followed.

And Crawford conceded that the collapse was nowhere near good enough as he wished that they could've tried to see their lead out until half time as a minimum.

Crawford excelled in a deeper role against Livi - but it wasn't enough to stop Ton emerging empty-handed from their trip to West Lothian. (Image: Gary Bradley) "I wish I could talk you through it," he told the Tele, "but it's a bit of a blur at the moment.

"We scored, and then all of a sudden it's 3-1. It just all happened so quickly.

"If we could have just held on for three or four minutes, just to regroup and try and see it out to half-time, it could've been a lot different.

"On our part, it's not good enough. When you come into places like Livingston and you score the first goal, you need to try and see it out to half-time at least, and then take it from there.

"It's three avoidable goals, and we got into 3-1 at half-time. From there it's a tough task to then come back.

"We showed character again in the second half and had we scored a wee bit earlier, we'd have made it a nervy for them.

"We need to take positives out of the game. We won the second half 1-0, and we had another couple of chances to pull it back but we couldn't take them."
